Cox Automotive is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Event Specialist to support the planning and execution of our hosted events. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating memorable experiences and eager to grow within the events and marketing field. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to help bring our branded events to life-from internal meetings to client-facing activations.
What You'll Do
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of Cox Automotive-hosted events, including internal meetings, client events, and employee engagement activities
  • Support event logistics such as venue coordination, catering, transportation, on-site setup and vendor communication.
  • Support on-site event execution and provide excellent customer service to attendees
  • Help manage event timelines, task lists, and documentation
  • Help manage event budgets and track expenses
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth execution and a positive attendee experience
  • Assist with post-event reporting, feedback collection, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain inventory of event materials and supplies
  • Utilize Cvent for event registration, attendee management, and reporting
  • Stay informed on event trends and best practices to contribute fresh ideas
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop branding materials
  • Travel: 30-40%

Who You Are
Minimum:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Travel: 30-40%

Preferred:
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or a related field.
  • Experience with Cvent or similar event management platforms preferred
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in event planning or coordination

USD 49,200.00 - 73,800.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $49,200.00 - $73,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
