We are looking for an eCommerce Business Manager to join our eCommerce UK Trading team! Based at NEXT Head Office in Enderby, with a competitive salary range and alongside great benefits!
 

The Role:

The Premium & Seasons Business Manager drives the commercial performance, digital customer journey, and site trade for both Premium Brands on NEXT and the subsite, Seasons.co.uk. This role balances data-driven funnel optimisation, cross-functional collaboration, strategic brand relations, and AI innovation to expand capacity and scale overall sales growth. 

What You’ll Take On:

Onsite Trading & Funnel Optimisation 

  • Act as the subject matter expert on the full customer journey, optimising search, navigation and product page (PLP/PDP) features across NEXT and Seasons.
  • Conduct regular site walks and review funnel data daily to make commercially sound trading decisions.
  • Utilise Seasons.co.uk as an innovation testbed to amplify the luxury experience before scaling successful initiatives to NEXT.

Data Analysis & Performance Reporting

  • Monitor user behavior, analytics and sales funnel performance to deliver weekly updates and reactive in week trading insights.
  • Lead a Test & Learn strategy to optimise Add to Bag (ATB) rates, boost conversions, and lower return rates.

Product Attribution & Governance 

  • Serve as the primary owner of style guides, allowables, and customer-facing attribution to maintain high standards and improve discovery.
  • Educate and inform Third Party (TP) clients on all new and updated attribution rules.

Brand Relations & Marketing Integration 

  • Maintain relationships and manage trade terms with key brands (e.g., adidas, Converse), while providing data backed insights for new brand onboarding negotiations.
  • Act as the primary eCommerce contact for internal Premium & Seasons product teams.
  • Partner with Marketing on brand tiering, imagery recommendations and multi department coordination for major promotional moments.

Innovation, AI & Automation 

  • Identify and drive AI and automation solutions to streamline admin tasks, free up team capacity, and improve PDP/PLP accuracy.
  • Conduct regular market and competitor reviews to identify emerging trends and assist in scoping technical requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Leadership 

  • Partner with Data, Development, UX, SEO, Content, and external partners (Bloomreach, Google) to execute commercial tech upgrades.
  • Directly line-manage a team, deputise for the Brands Business Owner, and share expertise across the wider trade team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience working as a Trading Manager / Senior Trading Manager, within eCommerce or Retail.
  • Strong understanding of analytics, user behaviour and eCommerce trends
  • Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams and managing relationships with third-party platforms and vendors.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement data driven strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using eCommerce platforms and analytics tools.
  • A passion for delivering an exceptional shopping experience and a customer centric mindset.
