This role is part of our eBay Inhouse team, where you will be employed by DEPT® and embedded into eBay's CRM team.


JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Communications Executive to support eBay’s UK and International businesses. As eBay continues to deliver against its strategy, we’re looking for an internal communicator who can help keep our teams in Europe, Canada and Australia informed, engaged and connected, and tell their stories of success to the wider eBay audience.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in internal communications and a passion for delivering clear, creative and effective messages to global, diverse audiences.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the communication of the eBay strategy, inspiring employees to drive long-term sustainable growth for eBay and helping leaders to tailor messages to their audience.
  • Gather and help to tell stories of success from the UK and international markets to the wider eBay audience.
  • Assist in organizing internal, hybrid events such as weekly UK All Hands, quarterly Team Days and Community of Inclusion (ERG) events, including coordination of content with all contributors.
  • Write and edit content for our internal communications channels, including company intranet, digital screens, email and Slack channels.
  • Develop simple creative assets including slides, posters, Slack graphics & GIFs, and videos for internal channels, in line with eBay’s brand guidelines.
  • Manage delivery of larger creative assets for our internal channels with design teams.
  • Maintain the content calendar for internal comms across the UK and international markets.
  • Ensure communications are being measured, and provide regular updates to the wider comms team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in internal communications.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years’ experience in internal communications, preferably in a tech company.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for finding new, engaging ways to communicate to & connect diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work both proactively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft 365, Google Suite, Slack and content management systems.
