What the role involves
The post holder will have a key role in the press calibration and EAM press maintenance program whilst maintaining safe working practices and compliance with H&S policies and procedures.
- Management of calibration schedule to OEM standard
- Service of rotoclean automatic blanket wash equipment
- Service of automatic plate lifter equipment
- Service, repair and install NC/ Forme block equipment
- Address and resolve production failures to rotoclean, roller and plate lifter equipment
- Complete all Press Preventative maintenance as per EAM PPM schedule
- Ensure all pressroom handover and EAM system are updated
- Stand in for Supervisor as and when required
- Assist with clean ups and general housekeeping duties
- Complete administration and reporting associated with EAM maintenance and calibration logs
- Support press make ready operations as and when required
- Any other additional duties as requested by the Pressroom Manager or other Supervisor roles
- Ensure company obligations within health and safety and environmental law and group / site policy is maintained at all times
What you'll need to succeed
- Engineering qualifications desirable
- Lifting and slinging operations (Training provided)
- Drive and commitment with an ability to work shifts
- Excellent communication skills verbal/written/practical
- Team player with the ability to lead a team
- A good awareness of HSE standards and regulations.
- Be attentive to detail and focussed on quality
- Computer literate
- An understanding of manufacturing best practice and lean principles and tools
