Purpose

The Doors Sales Executive is responsible for small repairs through to full modernisation and replacement, as well as supporting with maintenance sales when required.

To proactively manage customer relationships, manage opportunities from current and new customers and close deals in a way that meets customer needs and maximizes KONE’s order book and profitability.

This role will cover the Midlands & North regions with an office base in Nottingham.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creates and communicates leads and sales opportunities for the entire KONE sales team (e.g., cross-selling).
  • Development of mostly existing customer relationships.
  • Collaboration with the rest of KONE team to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively generates opportunities from outside the current customer base.
  • Manages requests for quotations.
  • Accountable for leads, opportunities, orders, and contracts to meet the sales budget and pricing targets.
  • Consults with the Area Service Manager and local engineers.
  • Accountable for managing customer needs and that KONE’s solution matches their needs.
  • Responsible for pricing, using the approved tendering tools, and for optimizing prices and discounts.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate information input and reporting in CRM.
  • Responsible for gathering relevant information about the market and competitors from the field.
  • Travel to meet customers will be required to undertake site surveys.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Industry experience or a technical background is beneficial.
  • Comfortable surveying all types of doors including gates/shutters/turnstiles.
  • Sales and customer management experience is essential.
  • Enjoy collaborating with customers, stakeholders and building relationships.
  • Manage and resolve any queries.
  • Problem solving and finding solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Good IT skills and CRM, Salesforce experience is desirable.
  • Customer centric mindset – understanding what creates value to our customers and providing excellent customer service.
