The job:

Seeking a hardworking HR professional for the Director, HRBP position at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The Director, HRBP for our Life Sciences (LS) organization collaborates with LS Commercial Divisional/Group and Functional leaders within the EMEA region. You will translate global and regional strategies into regional people objectives, driving innovative talent strategies to ensure highly engaged teams. Your role requires a seamless balance between critical thinking and practical execution, substantial change leadership experience, and a solid understanding of employee relations across various geographies.

This site-based at a variety of our Life Sciences sites in Western Europe, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.  Some international travel will be required – up to 25% per annum.

What will you do?

                                            

Talent Approach

  • Create and implement HR strategies and talent management plans to attract, retain, develop, and engage diverse talent.
  • Collaborate with leaders to build high-performance teams.

Business Acumen and Data Insight

  • Use HR analytics to improve talent and business capabilities.
  • Build industry, market, and functional trend insights to develop data-driven talent strategies.

Consultation

  • Facilitate organizational diagnostics and metrics to drive efficiency.
  • Guide organizational design, development, and change management solutions.

Develop HR Solutions

  • Build HR solutions and workforce plans aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Support leaders in navigating complex leadership and people challenges.

Change Leadership

  • Lead organizational design, development, and cultural initiatives based on our 4i values.

Organizational Adaptability and Resolve

  • Promote a "One HR Team" approach across LS EMEA, ensuring core, common, and consistent activities.

Project/Process Management

  • Coordinate HR resources, delegate tasks to HR Generalists, and implement initiatives successfully.
  • Assess organizational work requests and balance priorities effectively.

Who we are looking for:

Education:

  • Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field or equivalent experience is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of HR, senior-level experience, especially in HR Business Partnering.
  • Experience supporting global, highly matrixed organizations, preferably in Commercial settings.
  • Successfully led change initiatives and worked closely with customers.

Competencies:

  • Credibility as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business strategies into measurable HR strategies.
  • Proven ability to mentor and influence senior leaders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Advanced level of business English (written and spoken)
