The Director of Client Strategy & Value Realization is a key leadership role at Simbe, dedicated to driving the integration and operational optimization of Simbe’s advanced robotics and AI technologies within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to senior retail executives, fostering trusted relationships and leading transformative initiatives that align with both Simbe’s technology capabilities and our clients’ strategic goals. Key Responsibilities below.

Client Strategy Development:

  • Lead Joint Business Planning sessions with key clients to create strategic roadmaps that enhance technology adoption and operational integration.
  • Drive the prioritization of use cases and the development of capability roadmaps that are aligned with clients' long-term strategic goals.

Business Case Development and Value Realization:

  • Utilize business casing to design initiatives that accelerate client adoption, optimizing the use of Simbe’s technologies for rapid value realization.
  • Establish robust performance metrics to evaluate and communicate the impact of Simbe’s solutions on client operations, linking technology implementation directly to business outcomes.

Commercial Enablement:

  • Equip Simbe’s sales and marketing teams with deep industry insights, empowering them to effectively communicate the benefits and value of Simbe’s offerings.
  • Act as a thought leader, guiding the broader organization on retail industry trends and best practices.

Client-Centric Expansion and Scalability:

  • Manage the expansion of Simbe’s technology within client operations, adapting implementation strategies to achieve aligned outcomes and phasing.
  • Help clients weave Simbe’s technology into their overarching strategic priorities, addressing overlapping initiatives and guiding significant operational changes beyond mere technology implementation.

Regional Technical Support & Deployment Assistance

  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to provide hands-on technical support in the region, ensuring seamless operational continuity.
  • On rare occasions, assist in field operations by deploying robots, changing charging docks, or replacing hardware components when necessary to support successful regional execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field; masters preferred.
  • Ten years’ experience in strategic consulting, retail technology, or a leadership role within the retail sector, with a proven track record in retail or consumer goods sectors.
  • Expertise in digital transformation projects, with an emphasis on integrating new technologies into established retail operations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of conceptualizing and implementing innovative solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with and influencing senior executives and building strong professional relationships.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills in German with full business proficiency in English.

  • This role requires significant travel, with the expectation of being on-site with clients 40-60% of the time to effectively manage projects and stakeholder relationships.
