Digital Finance Manager
Role Overview:
This position is a key role in Digital finance. As Finance Manager, responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations for your area of responsibility, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Production of the monthly P&Ls and Balance Sheet, developing an in-depth understanding of the business operations and the related Financials
- Key contact to stakeholders to explain Financial performance and position
- Management and development of team
- Management and production of daily P&L’s.
- Variance analysis supporting daily P&L’s and month end accounts.
- Ensure the management accounts team adheres to Digital and Group Finance deadlines.
- Implementation of controls in line with the Group’s Financial controls programme
- Production and review of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Support on cost reviews with budget holders.
- Support the Head of Finance with the year end and interim audits.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
- Qualified CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA accountant - PQE experience essential
- Experience of management accounting essential
- Experience with working alongside and influencing senior stakeholders; both financial and non-financial
- Strong analytical skills required in order to identify and remediate risks
- Ability to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work under your own initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Retail industry experience desirable
- Experience of Oracle Financials and TM1 useful (though training will be provided)
- A positive, flexible, enthusiastic and driven attitude.
