Become an Outcoder as a Data Scientist

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. You will be responsible for developing algorithms, data modeling, and creating new data processing techniques. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high-quality prediction systems integrated with our products.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and application experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field. Ph.D. is a plus.
