Position Summary

Objectives of this Role

  • Design, execute, and effectively communicate analysis that identifies meaningful trends and opportunities across the business.
  • Provide strong and timely analytic decision support to business partners and various organizational stakeholders, such as Content, Commercial & Operations teams.
  • Assist in ensuring that external facing reports are available to customers and internal users, helping with access issues as and when these occur.
  • Working with the Business Analyst, ensure that the validity of Commercial data is accurate, timely and updated by the relevant teams, creating reports where available to allow self-serve capability.
  • Assist the Operational teams and Operations Analyst to successfully create reporting strategies that meet requirements.
  • Assist the UK Commercial team with ad-hoc reporting requests, focusing on customer reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Business Intelligence and Analytics team to drive to a “data-driven” approach in the business, ensuring that reporting is autonomous where possible, and self-serve is available to all departments.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Conduct full lifecycle of analytics projects from project requirements documentation to design and execution, including pulling, manipulating, and exporting data.
  • Evaluate key performance indicators, provide ongoing reports, and recommend areas for improvements.
  • Develop and implement data analyses.
  • Utilize data sets around the business to create meaningful insights that will allow the business to move to a “data-driven” mindset.
  • Assist the BI & Analytics Manager to administer the reporting system, ensuring that issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Keep Commercial datasets up to date, and working with the relevant commercial teams, build on existing processes/systems to facilitate further development.
  • Prepare, analyse, and summarize various weekly, monthly, and periodic analytical results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, dashboards, and instructions.

Experience

  • Excellent Computer and Logical/Analytical skills.
  • Experience working with tableau or any other data visualisation tools.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL – preferably using Oracle, however MSSQL or another SQL instance would be accepted.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and stand-alone where necessary.
  • A passion for data and the ability to present data and trends to others and have the confidence in your own work to show why the data is correct.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
  • A passion for the subject matter (in a previous role show us how you got under the skin of the problem and helped your stakeholders to reach the right conclusions).
  • A desire to develop your technical skill set using new technology.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving with a desire to grow with us.
