Summary: 

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for building, monitoring and automating our data pipeline. 

You will have the opportunity to work with the latest tools and frameworks in Data Engineering with hands-on coding. The ideal candidate should have experience with big data pipelines and be open to evaluating and adopting new data technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities and processes. You’ll work with a team of skilled Data Engineers of different experience levels.

Responsibilities: 

  • Designing, developing, and managing modern ingestion pipelines, optimizing transformation processes and handling large volumes of streaming and batch data  
  • Develop a monitoring and alerting system as well as automatization of the processes 
  • Researches and leads the adoption of new approaches/technologies  
  • Act as a technical lead and a multiplier who shares knowledge and delegate to help others grow 

 

Requirements:  

  • Have 6+ years of experience as a software engineer 
  • Demonstrated experience in building, testing, and maintaining highly scalable and robust data pipelines 
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks and tools (preferable Spark, Flink or similar) 
  • Expertise in at least one of the languages relevant to data engineering (Scala preferable, Python, Java) 
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms(AWS preferable, Azure, Google) and distributed systems 
  • Strong understanding of storage systems 
  • Working experience with message brokers/messaging platforms (preferably RabbitMQ, Kafka) 
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management systems (SQL and NoSQL) 
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills 
  • You are able to lead, influence, and guide your colleagues 
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
