Team Octaive is growing and we’re looking for an ambitious Data Engineer to join our fast-moving, dynamic business.
What you’ll do
- Working remotely (within the UK) with occasional travel to our HQ in London
- Design, architect, implement, and support key datasets and data warehouses for both static and real time data.
- Engineer analytics dashboards and tooling for data retrieval.
- Perform analysis to assess and enhance quality and meaning of data.
- Leverage automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
- Working with other stakeholders including management and engineering to devise and develop insight and reporting use cases for our customers.
- Help identify process improvements, system modifications and devise data governance strategies.
What you'll have
- You are a self starter, with a passion for highly scalable data analytics systems.
- Experienced building AWS Cloud based data systems using:
- AWS Athena/PrestoDB
- Lambda, S3, Kinesis, Glue
- SQL
- NodeJS
- CubeJS
- Relational Database Systems
- Working with other developers, it is useful to have experience in technologies including:
- ReactJS
- Data visualization and analytics software such as Tableau
- Git/version control
- Other big data technologies such as hive, hadoop, spark
- Hands on experience building data warehousing including ETL pipelines.
- Experience processing data from multiple heterogeneous sources.
- Ability to design complex data architectures for performant analytics.
