Principal Data Consultant

We’re looking for an innovative Data Consultant to lead and grow our data proposition at Apadmi. You’ll be at the forefront of our Data, AI, and CRO offering, helping shape and sell the story to our clients, driving real transformation through insight and innovation. As a Data Consultant, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on expertise to develop thoughtful, data-driven solutions. You’ll work closely with clients to shape strategies that align with their goals, while helping us evolve our own data capabilities and approach. Comfortable translating complex ideas into clear outcomes, you’ll bring credibility, energy and direction to our work - bringing clarity, curiosity and a collaborative mindset to how data is used across Apadmi and the wider digital landscape.

What you’ll be working on

In this role, you’ll shape and take ownership of our data proposition, leading client engagements, supporting pre-sales, and ensuring delivery aligns with both client and business objectives. You’ll mentor and inspire a growing team of data specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity and excellence. This role suits someone who enjoys working across the spectrum: from analysing datasets and designing data frameworks to sharing strategic insights with stakeholders. • Develop and communicate a compelling vision for how data, AI, and CRO can create meaningful value for our clients.
• Lead client engagements, from early conversations and pitches through to long-term strategic consultancy, building trusted relationships along the way.
• Share your expertise by contributing to Apadmi’s presence at industry events and speaking about data-related topics in a way that’s accessible and engaging.
• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and scientists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with our product, design, and engineering teams to embed data-informed decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide regular progress updates and insights to stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Stay hands-on with data, using your practical experience to uncover insights and help clients make informed decisions.

What you’ll bring to the team

We're looking for someone with a proven track record of using data to tell meaningful stories and drive business impact. You'll be a natural communicator, able to tailor your approach to suit a range of audiences - from technical teams to senior stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in a client-facing data consultancy role.
• A strong understanding of the data, AI, and CRO landscape, and how it can deliver value.
• Demonstrated ability to support, lead, and grow a team of data professionals.
• Confident and clear communicator, with experience presenting ideas to a variety of audiences - including public speaking or thought leadership contributions.
• A practitioner at heart, with hands-on experience with data analysis, visualisation tools, and data infrastructure.
• A collaborative and empathetic leader, who fosters a supportive, inclusive team culture.
• A strategic thinker, motivated to deliver high-quality, data-informed solutions that balance meet both user and business needs.
