Position Summary

We have a vacancy for a confident analyst to join us as a member of our Business Intelligence and Analytics team based at our Chadderton site.

Your focus will be on analysing data and working with key stakeholders, helping to improve various aspects of our operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and management to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.
This role includes reporting, dashboard development and solving analytical problems. To be successful in this role you will need to be comfortable working with all levels of management to help stakeholders gain an in-depth understanding of how we could drive efficiency and enhancements within the operations environment. You should be eager to learn different technology and analytical methodology to improve operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with our operations teams to use data and insights to help show operational savings and drive efficiencies

  • Collaborating with department heads to assess and optimize workflow processes

  • Be a Change Agent for the operations team, working with the teams to streamline existing processes to help drive change and efficiencies

  • Designing, executing, and effectively communicating analysis that identifies meaningful trends and opportunities across the business

  • Participating in regular meetings with management; assessing and addressing issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient operations

  • Providing strong and timely analytic decision support to business partners and various organisational stakeholders

  • Evaluating key performance indicators, providing ongoing reports, and recommending areas for improvements

  •  Conducting meetings with the operations teams to understand where process change could be undertaken, and building suitable solutions to implement these changes

  • Developing and implementing data analyses

  • Utilising a range of input sources including actual operational data to drive data-based decision making

  • Preparing, analysing, and summarising various weekly, monthly, and periodic analytical results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, dashboards, and instructions

  • Taking part in weekly and monthly meetings with operations team members to be the front facing data matter expert

Skills and experience

  • Good computer and analytical skills – *essential*

  • Experience working with Tableau or any other data visualisation tools - *essential*

  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills

  • Supply chain knowledge and experience – desirable

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to maintain a busy workload

  • Working knowledge of SQL – preferably using Oracle in a current or previous role - *essential*
