The Position

The Credit Control manager oversees a team of both geographically dispersed and centrally based credit controllers. The continued growth of the group is as such that there is now a need to increase the central team of 14 staff.

The accounting system is an industry specific package called MAM. This is a windows system and is intuitive for users familiar with any other windows based accounting package. Training will be provided as required.

Areas of responsibility will include:

  • Contacting business customers when payment is overdue
  • Negotiating repayment plans if people are in financial difficulties
  • Setting up and maintaining customer files (HO)
  • Processing payments
  • Starting legal proceedings if debts are not paid within an agreed time (HO)
  • Liaising with internal businesses
  • Produce & send collection letters (HO)
  • Assist in the notification of new business acquisition customers of changes in ownership (HO)
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Producing customer statements
