Product Manager

Manchester M50 3SP flexible, hybrid - 1 - 2 days per week in the office

Permanent

Full time

Salary £56000 - £69900 depending on experience + Management Bonus

The role

You’ll manage a product or set of existing products that maximise profitability through meeting the demands and needs of customers or prospects

manage processes and interpret market, customer and competitive information, in order to help create a future product pipeline

work with the Senior Product Manager to define strategy and deliver product & process change across the customer journey from acquisition to retention to deliver corporate product volume and profitability targets

The Product Manager would also contribute to the delivery of the corporate business objectives aligned to the product strategy

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Product management and continuous improvement
  • Be an expert on our performance across the specified product suite.
  • Own the product suite strategy
  • Manage all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Achieve the product suite profit & and volume targets
  • Act as the prime contact for all aspects of external and internal enquiry about the products
  • Understand the external and internal marketplace and context and oversee market research
  • Review, understand and monitor the health insurance market sectors
  • Understand the end-to-end customer journey
  • Plan and lead delivery
  • Implement the annual plans for the product
  • Ensure product initiatives are legal and compliant with external regulations
  • Work closely with the Marketing Communications team to ensure the successful promotion of products across all distribution channels
  • Lead, manage cross functional project teams
  • Develop and lead new and existing product development
  • Manage and oversee the introduction of product enhancements

You

  • Demonstrably broad commercial awareness and experience of managing products in large organisations
  • Able to inspire and deliver innovative solutions through cross-functional teams
  • Qualifications or experience in major aspects of the marketing mix, particularly product and service design, both B2B and B2C
  • A commercially minded strategic thinker
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with emphasis in achieving results and successful outcomes
  • Clear understanding and awareness of the marketplace and competitors
  • Clear evidence of having led high performing teams
  • Project management expertise, evidence of delivering within time, cost and quality of complex projects
  • Ability to quickly understand internal processes, and how to influence at a senior level
  • Sound working knowledge of change and transformation processes and governance
  • Product marketing experience - health and wellbeing or financial services experience or genuine interest would be ideal
