STR is excited to present an opportunity for a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)/Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to manage a diverse portfolio of programs executed out of our Woburn, Massachusetts office. The successful candidate will work closely with security management, program management, program personnel, and customer security to ensure compliance with U.S. Government directives, regulations, and requirements. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of Security posture to ensure continuous compliance with multiple classified programs
  • Ensure adherence to DoD Special Access Program (SAP) and Intelligence Community (IC) security policies and requirements such as DoDM 5205.07 and ICD 705.
  • Partner with STR Program Management to provide guidance and excellent customer service
  • Partner with disciplines within Security, to include Personnel Security, ACPSOs, Information Assurance, Classified IT, and the Facility Security Officer
  • Maintain personnel security records via of SIMS, JADE, and Scattered Castles
  • Conduct self-inspections, lead staff assistance visits, and customer security assessments
  • Assist in the development and approval of Standard Operating Procedures, Program Protection (P2), Operations Security Plans, and transportation plans
  • Maintain classified material accountability records, to include Top Secret accountability
  • Write, interpret, and implement DD254s and supporting documentation
  • Review operational requirements and system specification documents to ensure applicable security requirements are addressed and incorporated into security processes
  • Interpret and implement security classification guidance for each respective program
  • Investigate and document security incidents and provide remedial trainings + corrective actions
  • Attend, support, and participate in program meetings, staff meetings, telecons, etc.
  • Develop and conduct initial and refresher program security briefings debriefings, and foreign travel briefings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • This position requires an active Top Secret with SAP/SCI eligibility security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government. 
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated application of the U.S. Government security standards
  • Ability to prepare appropriate reports and documents using various office tools such as: MS Office, DISS, JADE, SIMS, TALON, and NISS
  • Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Special Access Program Security Manuals, ICD 705, and other related security manuals
  • Working knowledge in the preparation and maintenance of prime and subcontract DD254s
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
  • Ability to interpret policy and to develop and implement security plans and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience in managing classified programs
  • Knowledge of contractor operations, network, physical, technical, and personnel security requirements
  • Ability to travel on company business (approximately 10%)
  • Completed Intro to SAPs (CDSE)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex communication scenarios

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program security, classified program management, or a related field
