Contract Product Manager – Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)

Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Contract: Immediate start until end of June 2027 (with potential extension)

Who We Are

AND Digital are on a mission to close the world's tech skills gap.

We help organisations navigate the future of technology by combining human expertise, emerging technologies and AI to deliver better digital products, stronger teams and lasting capability.

Since 2014, we've worked alongside clients to solve complex business challenges through our unique regional Club model, building long-term partnerships that deliver meaningful outcomes. Today we're over 1,300 people across the UK, Europe and the USA, with ambitious plans for continued growth.

Join us and help shape the future of digital.

The Role

Absolutely. Here's the revised version that keeps the Salesforce experience (as it's a valuable attraction point) but removes anything that could identify the client, such as references to IVR, Solver, specific operational flows or Centrica-specific terminology.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Contract Product Manager to join a major digital transformation programme within the UK energy sector.

This role spans two key product areas:

  • Supporting digital products and customer journeys associated with the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG).
  • Driving improvements across customer service platforms and digital capabilities to deliver more seamless, efficient customer experiences.

Working alongside Engineering, Design, Data and business stakeholders, you'll define product strategy, prioritise delivery and ensure products deliver measurable value for customers, operational teams and the wider business.

This is a fully remote contract open to candidates anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and deliver product vision, strategy and roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead product delivery across both Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) and customer service transformation initiatives.
  • Improve customer journeys across digital and customer service channels.
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring delivery teams remain focused on the highest-value outcomes.
  • Translate customer and business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Architecture, Design and Data teams to deliver scalable digital products.
  • Analyse customer, operational and commercial data to inform prioritisation and product decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Regulatory, Commercial and Technology teams.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Continuously measure product performance using KPIs, customer insights and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Balance customer needs, commercial priorities and technical constraints to maximise product value.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager delivering digital products within Agile environments.
  • Strong experience within the UK Energy or Utilities sector (essential).
  • Good understanding of UK energy industry processes, customer journeys and market operations.
  • Familiarity with technologies and concepts such as DCC, smart metering, metering infrastructure, adaptors and energy data flows.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps and managing complex product backlogs.
  • Experience using customer insights and data to drive product strategy and prioritisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Design and Data throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with experience in product discovery and problem definition.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer outcomes, delivery priorities and business value.
  • Comfortable working within complex cross-functional delivery teams.
Highly Desirable Experience

Candidates with experience across one or more of the following will stand out:

  • Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)
  • Renewable energy platforms
  • Distributed energy generation
  • Smart Energy products
  • Customer service transformation programmes
  • Salesforce Industries (Vlocity)
  • Salesforce Service Cloud
  • CRM platform transformation
  • Digital customer journeys
  • Operational process improvement

Experience working with products or services involving:

  • Solar PV
  • Electric Vehicles (EV)
  • Battery Storage
  • Wind Energy
  • Hydro Power
  • Anaerobic Digestion
  • Micro Combined Heat & Power (Micro-CHP)

Experience working within regulated environments and interpreting industry regulation is also highly desirable.

AND Digital is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We will make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process where required.
