The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, identifies educational content opportunities, and can quickly turn insights into engaging content. We are looking for a versatile content creator and editor, who can also step up to support our marketing team across other initiatives, such as webinar and event promotion, podcast and video pre-production, automated email marketing, SEO, paid media, and other brand awareness or activation campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Thought Leadership Initiatives – Research, write, and publish high-impact content including our biweekly newsletter, white papers, industry reports, blogs, course outlines, and market insights to elevate CAIS’ experience in alternative investing and technology.
  • Analyze Markets and Develop Narratives – Partner with our segment marketing and investment strategy teams to identify key asset-class-level themes and emerging trends across private equity, private credit, real estate, hedge funds, and structured investments.
  • Integrate External Research – Leverage industry reports and asset manager marketing materials to develop content that helps financial advisors navigate fund selection and asset allocation decisions.
  • Create and Distribute Engaging Content – Develop multi-channel content (e.g., blogs, emails, social media, and video scripts) that educates advisors and enhances CAIS’ brand awareness.
  • Ensure Editorial Excellence and Compliance – Align all content with CAIS’ brand voice, style guide, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FINRA Rule 2210).
  • Execute Quickly and Autonomously – Take initiative in researching, writing, and adapting content to high task volume, fast-moving deadlines, and shifting priorities.
  • Optimize Processes and Technology – Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new tools, refine workflows, and enhance content distribution strategies.
  • Maintain Attention to Detail – Ensure content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with CAIS’ brand and compliance guidelines through rigorous editing and proofreading.
  • Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with investment strategy, sales, marketing, and legal and compliance to produce content that serves financial advisors’ needs while maintaining regulatory accuracy.
  • Engage With the Industry – Stay current on alternative investment trends, fund manager developments, and macroeconomic factors to ensure thought leadership remains relevant and forward-looking.

Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of Experience – Focus on investment product marketing and/or investment-related content creation, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in alternative investment due diligence, portfolio construction, asset manager/strategy research, or investment management
  • Ability To Work Independently – Thrives in an environment that requires problem-solving, self-direction, and proactive decision-making
  • Strong Writing and Storytelling Skills – Ability to craft compelling narratives that educate and engage busy financial professionals
  • Quick Problem-Solving and Adaptability – Comfortable navigating complex topics, managing high volumes of work, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Willingness To Learn and Optimize – Open to exploring new technology tools, refining workflows, and improving efficiency
  • Experience in Multi-Channel Content Distribution – Skilled in developing content for social, email, digital marketing, and video scripting
  • Ability To Translate Complex Investment Strategies – Skilled in simplifying sophisticated financial concepts into advisor-friendly, digestible content
  • Knowledge of Alternative Investments – Familiar with private equity, private credit, real estate, hedge funds, and structured notes
  • Understanding of Regulatory Compliance – Experience adhering to FINRA Rule 2210 and other financial content compliance considerations
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Journalism, or a related field
  • Certifications (Preferred) – CFA, CAIA, Series 7, or 24 a plus
