The Community Experience Producer will design and execute member experiences, events, and community systems, enhancing user engagement and collaboration.
Doing product research online feels harder than ever. AI promised better information. Instead it flooded the web with hallucinations, generated content, and confident-sounding answers that have no idea what's true.
Product.ai is building the truth engine for shopping. When every other AI tool summarizes and guesses, we verify. Not opinions. Not averages. Ground truth.
Self-funded and profitable for over a decade, we're a team of e-commerce veterans who have been building commerce truth systems at scale. Over a billion dollars in annual transaction volume. Millions of customers served. Product.ai is our flagship - the new starting point for shopping in the AI era. We're in early alpha, building alongside our community of domain experts.
The Alpha Team is our community of domain experts and power users who verify truth, pressure-test verdicts, and shape product direction. They're collaborators, not customers. We are seeking a Community Experience Producer to build the experiences, spaces, and rituals that turn casual users into committed members of something real - without losing the intimacy that makes it work. This role is part event producer, part culture architect, part community operations builder.
Based in Santa Monica. In-office five days a week.

We operate as a high-performance studio, not a typical corporation. Every builder at Product.ai is a partner, not an employee collecting a paycheck.
How to Apply
We skip the 60-minute recruiter screen. Instead, you'll answer a few short video questions so we can get to know how you think and work. Less time than a phone screen, and you can do it whenever works for you.
The Process:
Click Apply. Record short video responses to our questions (no prep required - we want to see how you naturally think). Your responses go directly to the hiring team. No ATS. No keyword parsing.
We're not looking for polished presentations. We're looking for signal on who you are.

What You Will Build
- Threshold Experience. You'll create the moment someone graduates from "casual user" to "Alpha Team member." Membership signals matter. You'll design what it feels like to join - the welcome sequence, the first interaction with other members, the first time someone's feedback visibly changes the product. You'll study how the best communities in the world handle the transition from outsider to insider, and build something that fits our specific culture of domain expertise, intellectual rigor, and genuine collaboration.
- Event Production Engine. You'll design and execute Alpha Team events - product unveilings, working sessions, city-based meetups, and an annual gathering that becomes the event people in our space talk about. These aren't webinars or marketing activations. These are experiences where real signal happens - where domain experts challenge our verdicts and the community shapes the product in real time. You'll own the full production lifecycle from concept through execution through post-event signal capture.
- Community Infrastructure. You'll build the systems that make community feel alive between events - communication channels, feedback loops, recognition systems, contribution tracking. When a member contributes a product insight that changes a verdict, they should know about it. When someone hasn't engaged in a month, you should notice before they leave. You'll design for sustainability, not heroics.
- Show-Ready Documentation. You'll document how we operate community so that when we scale, the quality doesn't erode. Playbooks, standards, runbooks, event templates - institutional memory that lets a new team member produce an event at your quality level without your presence. You understand that scaling community without documentation means scaling mediocrity.
Who You Are
- You read rooms and adjust in real time. You sense when a conversation is real and when it's performative. You notice who's connected and who's on the outside. You intervene with subtlety - introducing the right people, shifting the conversation, creating space for quieter voices. You've facilitated sessions where genuine disagreement happened productively. This skill is not teachable. You either notice social dynamics or you don't.
- You produce experiences, not just events. You understand how rooms work - how lighting affects energy, how seating arrangements affect conversation, how timing affects attention. You've produced experiences where attendees said "that was different from anything I've been to." You think about the arc of an experience from arrival to departure, and you design every touchpoint with intention.
- You are an operator who thinks in systems. You care about things working more than ideas sounding good. You notice when the A/V doesn't work and you have a backup plan. You notice when the registration flow adds friction that reduces attendance by 15%. But you also understand that community is a system - incentives matter, feedback loops matter, rituals compound over time. You've built community operations at a company that didn't have them, and you designed for sustainability over heroics.
- You thrive in ambiguity and multiply with tools. There's no manual for building community at an AI commerce company. You're comfortable making calls without perfect information and iterating based on what works. You use software (event platforms, community tools, AI tools) to multiply your output. You automate what can be automated so you can spend your time on the human parts that technology can't replace.
Ownership
We operate as a high-performance studio, not a typical corporation. Every builder at Product.ai is a partner, not an employee collecting a paycheck.
- Base: $120,000 - $160,000. Competitive for the role level. Your base covers your life; your ownership builds your freedom.
- Equity: You receive a formal ownership stake via Profits Interest Units (PIUs) - Class B Membership Interests with a $0 strike price. Not options. Not RSUs. Actual ownership that participates in the upside from day one and qualifies for Capital Gains tax treatment.
- Profit Sharing: You participate in the company's annual success. As an equity holder, you receive a pro-rata share of Free Cash Flow (FCF) - real cash, every year, not a promise tied to a future exit.
- Liquidity: We operate an Annual Tender Offer where the company buys back vested interests at fair market value. You can turn ownership into cash every year. No waiting for an IPO. No hoping for an acquisition.
- Benefits: 100% premium coverage for you and your family, daily catered lunches, and unlimited PTO that we actually expect you to use.
