Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a talented Communications and Content Specialist to join our Europe Marketing team. The Communications and Content specialist delivers high-quality written communications to support the company's marketing plans, as well as support broader research and development of content, including product collateral, sales enablement, corporate and content marketing materials, to drive brand awareness and engagement through integrated communications, outreach, and promotions across a variety of marketing platforms.
A born wordsmith, you'll have a strong background in writing compelling copy for B2B audiences and will be adept at switching your tone of voice to suit the platform, publication or channel you're writing for
What You'll Do
- Work directly with internal subject matter experts to create high quality and engaging marketing communications assets in alignment with business strategy and marketing plans, reflecting the organisation's brand voice, editorial guidelines, and company and product messaging platforms
- Take various product category and communications briefs and generate unique, and creative content that garners attention and facilitates clear communication with targeted market segmentations
- Support the public relations program, including creating comprehensive, effective and engaging external communications that align with key messages including press releases, bylines, blogs, web copy and other external facing communications
- Support the social media program, including creating timely and effective content that engages users and grows our social reach
- Champion our brand and product voice, following content and branding style guides to protect and oversee brand representation across messaging platforms and taking into account regional updates as required
- Proofreading, copy editing and revision of marketing assets, including assets produced by product marketing, demand generation, the event team and corporate communications
- Assist in managing the data analytics program for core communications tactics, including the process to track, measure and adjust tactics as needed to meet content performance goals
- Assist in maintaining editorial calendars, media lists, and media coverage
What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:
- Can work remotely from the UK or Ireland, or hybrid from an Applied Systems Europe Office
- Is able to travel quarterly for team meetings (Brighton, Belfast or Birmingham) as well as attend UK wide trade shows and events
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English or related field; or equivalent work experience
- 4 years of B2B marketing experience - Software/technology or insurance marketing experience preferred
- Excellent research skills
- Proficiency in AP Style
- Relentless attention to detail and dedication to consistently developing quality, error-free content
- Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where the demands and directions of the work frequently change
- Able to synthesise complex information and contextualise into a well-organised storyline
- Able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Goal-oriented, team player with an excellent work ethic
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud
Additionally, you may have:
- Knowledge of writing for social media and SEO
- Experience with writing for personalisation, segmentation and A/B testing a plus
