Commercial Gas Engineer

Kent

Full Time, Permanent, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary up to £42,840 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) provides a full range of in-patient and out-patient mental health services across Kent & Medway operating across numerous sites it includes services for older adults, forensic & specialist services and acute services. The Trust has a diverse property portfolio of around 68 sites with an approximate total GIA of. 70,000sq. m spread across Kent and Medway, which provide 24-7 365-day patient services.     

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) employs around 5700 staff made up of community nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, podiatrists, dental staff and many other health care professionals and corporate services. The Trust is one of the largest community health providers in England, serving a population of approximately 1.4 million people across Kent, East Sussex and parts of London Boroughs. This Trust has 33 sites included in the contract.

About the Role:

The Commercial Gas Engineer will be working across our portfolio on NHS sites, completing gas servicing (PPMs), breakdown call outs and minor repair works to commercial plant rooms. You will be supported by Our Gas QS lead, who is located within the Kent branch. You will be joining a supportive team of engineers and have full support from regional Facilities Managers to complete your role. There will also be a requirement to liaise with NHS Estate Managers when required. To carry out gas servicing and repairs and breakdowns to the operational performance of the contracts under management. To carry out PPM works as instructed and to a planned schedule and to support and conduct minor project works.

Role Criteria:

  • Domestic and Commercial Gas ACS
  • Construction site safety
  • CCN1 – Domestic Nat Gas Safety
  • COCN1 / CIGA1/ ICPN1/TPCP1/TPC1A.
  • LPG PD
  • G3 Qualifications 
  • Extensive experience as commercial gas engineer
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent communication
