About the role

Our Commercial Finance Managers play a key role in strengthening financial insight and planning across the business. They partner with senior stakeholders to provide high-quality analysis and commercial insight that supports decision-making and drives business performance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. They work closely with the Head of FP&A and leadership team to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Delivering clear, actionable reporting and analysis across revenue, margin, and cost performance, using tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel modelling
  • Translating complex financial data into insight that drives decisions and accountability
  • Supporting commercial activities including client profitability, pricing, and bids, as well as conducting post-project reviews to identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Contributing to strategic initiatives, including system improvements, scenario modelling, and investment decisions
Ideal candidate:
  • Commercially focused finance professional who combines strong analytical capability with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, able to challenge constructively, and translate financial data into clear, practical insight
  • Proven record of successfully working in a professional services or private equity-backed environment
Key details

This is a high-impact role within the Finance team, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and drive performance across a growing, global organisation. The role is hybrid, with a requirement to be in the Knutsford office at least two days per week.


Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in commercial finance or FP&A roles
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality financial planning, analysis, and reporting in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to influence decision-making and drive business performance
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) to deliver actionable insights
  • Experience supporting pricing, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence at senior level
  • Experience in a professional services, Private Equity-backed, or high-growth environment is advantageous
