DLG is evolving. Across every facet of our business, our teams are embracing new opportunities and putting customers at the heart of everything they do. By joining them, you’ll have the opportunity to not just be recognised for your skills but encouraged to build upon them and empowered to do your absolute best.

Step into a role where your insight truly shapes the future of our business. We’re excited to welcome a Commercial Analyst into our high‑impact Price Comparison Website (PCW) team, where you’ll play a key role in understanding performance, spotting opportunities, and influencing the decisions that drive growth.

In this role, you won’t just interpret data - you’ll help uncover the stories behind it. Your analysis will guide trading strategy, enhance customer outcomes, and support critical commercial choices that help us stay ahead in a fast‑moving market.

You’ll collaborate closely with talented colleagues across the wider Commercial Trading team, contributing directly to our Business Plan and helping to deliver on our long‑term ambitions. If you’re curious, motivated, and ready to make a visible impact, this is the place to do it.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitor and report on weekly performance metrics across the Sales and Renewal funnels.

  • Conduct in‑depth analysis to identify underlying trends, performance drivers, and improvement opportunities.

  • Contextualise performance through active monitoring of the motor insurance market and competitor dynamics.

  • Use data, commercial intuition, and structured thinking to make decisions in uncertain environments.

  • Support the creation of the Business Plan for Motor PCW customers and track delivery against this plan.

  • Be curious and creative: challenge assumptions, bring fresh perspectives, and identify opportunities for positive change.

  • Work collaboratively with Pricing, Product, Operations, Marketing and Digital teams to drive aligned commercial outcomes.

  • Drive delivery of initiatives using a test‑and‑learn approach to maximise benefits and generate insight.

  • Build an understanding of customer and commercial trade‑offs in a highly regulated industry.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and translate requirements into implications for business models, products, and processes.

Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 50% of their time in the office.

What you'll need:

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate data sets and draw meaningful insights.

  • A curious and creative mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and customer journeys.

  • Commercial acumen with proven experience in identifying opportunities and delivering business change.

  • A proactive, adaptable approach, thriving in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive change.

Benefits

We recognise we wouldn't be where we are today without our colleagues, that's why we offer excellent benefits designed to suit your lifestyle:

  • 9% employer contributed pension

  • 50% off home, motor and pet insurance plus Green Flag breakdown cover

  • Additional optional Health and Dental insurance

  • Up to 10% AIP Bonus

  • EV car scheme allows all colleagues to lease a brand new electric or plug-in hybrid car in a tax efficient way.

  • Generous holidays

  • Buy as you earn share scheme

  • Employee discounts and cashback

  • Plus, many more

We want everyone to get the most out of their time at DLG. Which is why we’ve looked beyond the financial rewards and created an offer that takes your whole life into account. Supporting our people to work at their best – whatever that looks like — and offering real choice, flexibility, and a greater work-life balance that means our people have time to focus on the things that matter most to them. Our benefits are about more than just the money you earn. They’re about recognising who you are and the life you live.

Be yourself

Direct Line Group is an equal opportunity employer, and we think diversity of background and thinking is a big strength in our people. We're delighted to feature as one of the UK's Top 50 Inclusive Employers and are committed to making our business an inclusive place to work, where everyone can be themselves and succeed in their careers.

We know you're more than a CV, and the things that make you, you, are what bring potential to our business. We recognise and embrace people that work in different ways so if you need any adjustments to our recruitment process, please speak to the recruitment team who will be happy to support you.
