Position Summary:

Platform.sh is in search of a dynamic Cloud Software Engineer to join our Emerging Projects team! Dive into a pivotal role where you'll leverage your expertise in networking or content distribution, complemented by a solid understanding of Linux systems, to navigate the intricacies of building resilient, distributed systems.

What to expect:

• Work with exciting and new technologies.
• Push the boundaries of what is possible through creative thinking and problem solving.
• Work with a variety of infrastructure types, including virtual machines, containers, and bare metal servers.
• Contribute to our content delivery system and help us expand its capabilities.
• Explore new possibilities using different technologies and methodologies.

What you bring:

• A strong foundation in Software Engineering domains and proficiency in Python or Go.
• Strong proficiency in large scale networking, including BGP and Anycast.
• Solid understanding of Linux (preferably Debian-based).
• Familiarity with content distribution network principles.
• Familiarity with highly efficient object caching strategies.

Bonus points:

• Strong knowledge distributed caching.
• Understanding of security and cryptography.
• Experience with various programming languages including C/C++.
• Understanding of web technologies.
