We make health happen:

At Bupa, we’re here to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives — and make a better world.

As a Clinical Quality Assurance Lead, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive clinically safe, highquality care from both internal and external providers. Youll investigate clinical concerns, assess care quality, identify risks, and work closely with healthcare partners to drive improvements. This is a role where your clinical expertise and judgement directly contribute to better outcomes, safer services, and stronger governance across our provider network.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Investigate clinical concerns and provider behaviour, working with Medical Directors and partners to understand issues and improve care.
  • Review complaints, incidents and customer feedback to identify trends, risks and areas needing further scrutiny.
  • Carry out clinical audits, including medical record reviews, to assess quality of care and highlight where action is required.
  • Lead quality improvement visits with hospitals and consultants, providing clear recommendations and followup actions.
  • Produce concise, evidencebased reports that outline risks, findings and improvement plans.
  • Manage serious clinical complaints, ensuring customers receive clear communication and appropriate resolution.
  • Escalate safetycritical issues through the right governance channels to protect patient wellbeing.
  • Support commissioning, provider performance discussions and the development of tools to assess outlier behaviour.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Being a registered, qualified clinician (RN, physio, or other allied health professional) is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Bupa insurance and a strong understanding of governance expectations is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical standards, regulatory frameworks and professional requirements.
  • Experience developing, implementing or enforcing clinical quality standards in a healthcare environment.
  • Clinical audit experience with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Skilled at writing clear, evidencebased reports for a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to influence, challenge and build trust at all levels.
  • Confident decisionmaker with strong clinical judgement and the ability to assess sensitive issues.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Empathetic particularly when handling complex or sensitive clinical matters.
  • Strong IT literacy and comfortable using clinical governance or audit tools.
