We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief of Staff to join our Engineering Business Operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in senior engineering operations, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to build credible relationships with senior Engineering Managers and Product Managers. This role requires someone who can act as a liaison between the SVP of Engineering and various internal and external stakeholders, driving key projects related to engineering productivity, on-track delivery, risk mitigation, and competitive intelligence.

Your Impact

  • Review progress on key quarterly engineering deliverables and ensure risks are highlighted early, maintaining project timelines

  • Establish yourself as the first point of escalation for internal engineering emergencies, effectively managing and resolving issues

  • Design and implement initiatives to track and improve engineering productivity, identifying key areas for process enhancements

  • Review and ensure progress on quarterly engineering deliverables, ensuring consistent on-track delivery

  • Gather and document engineering best practices and competitive intelligence, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making

  • Actively engage with cross-functional teams, building strong relationships and fostering collaboration to drive strategic projects

What we are looking for

  • Senior engineering operations experience (5+ years), with the ability to build credibility with senior EMs and PMs

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to decompose ambiguous questions, analyze data, and make recommendations

  • Proven relationship-building experience, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to understand complex business challenges and provide actionable recommendations

  • Executive presence and capability to work closely with C-suite executives

  • Basic understanding of the Web3 ecosystem and blockchain technology is preferable

  • Experience in a similar stage company (mid to late-stage startup) is preferable

  • Strong understanding of the Web3 ecosystem and proficiency in the latest technologies, including EVM vs. Non-EVM, deploying to Mainnet, etc. is a plus

  • Knowledge of Solidity programming is a plus
