We are currently looking to recruit a Distributor Channel Marketing Manager to join our award-winning business. This role will initially be based on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave and can be based in Ayr, or remote in the UK or Ireland. The successful candidate must be able to travel easily for meetings and customer visits.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Distributor Channel Marketing Manager to lead our sales and marketing activities with a focus on distributors across Europe, Middle East and Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to support our distribution partners, drive growth and achieve sales targets through our distribution channels. You will collaborate closely with sales teams, channel partners and stakeholders. The primary objective is to increase the Neogen value proposition to distribution partners and drive improvement in return on channel investment.

In collaboration with the Channel Manager, develop and implement a comprehensive growth plan for channel partners, encompassing programs, metrics, tracking, and effective communication.

This role also has responsibility for managing two functions within our Regional Marketing Shared Services; Conferencing & Events and Marketing Admin support, delivered through two direct reports. Estimate of time split is 80% Distribution Channel Management & 20% Conferencing & Events and Marketing Administration.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute a Regional Distributor Channel strategy to drive market penetration, reaching new markets, segments and gaining market share.
  • Develop quarterly marketing plans providing clear direction and expectations for Channel Partners, that include promotional activities, product launches and incentives to drive growth. In collaboration Channel Manager & Key Stakeholders, ensure plans are aligned to Regional Strategy.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including product and customer marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Organise regular meetings and check-ins with key distributors, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders, to discuss performance and address any issues.
  • Host channel partner meetings to strengthen partnerships and share the latest product updates.
  • Work with the sales team to identify underperforming regions and develop targeted marketing campaigns to boost sales.
  • Partner with sales representatives on initiatives/events for potential new channel partners.
  • Lead Marketing onboarding for Channel Partners and associated training as required, to enable Channel Partners to successfully market and sell Neogen Food Safety Products.
    Adapt regional collateral and develop marketing content for distributor channels, as required to deliver on regional strategy and marketing campaigns.
  • Organize and execute omni-channel campaigns through distributor networks.
  • Provide training and support to channel partners to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively promote our products.
  • Keep a pulse on distributor channel trends, market activity, conduct quarterly market analysis reports to track competitor promotions and pricing strategy.
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback from distributors to identify areas for product improvement and insights to improve and innovate through marketing initiatives.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyse campaign results to measure distributor channel performance.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • Develop a detailed budget plan for all channel marketing activities and monitor expenditures.
  • Evaluate the ROI of different marketing initiatives and reallocate funds to the most effective programs.
  • Accountable for Conference and Event Management across all iEMEA businesses, ensuring continuous improvement to ensure return of investment is maximised, through direct reports.
  • Responsible for line management of Marketing Admin, a shared service for iEMEA.
     

About You:

  • Previous experience in distributor channel marketing.
  • Proven track record of successful distributor-focused marketing campaigns and a strong understanding of distributor dynamics and industry trends.
  • Technical proficiency in marketing automation and analytics tools.
  • High-level problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Creative and resourceful, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on achieving goals.
  • Good written English & grammar essential.  A second European language is of benefit.
  • Very proficient word, power point essential and competent in excel.
  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing, business, or relevant degree / experience.
