Location: Kitt Green, Wigan UK
Working hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm

Purpose of role:
You'll be leading efforts to ensure Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) for our Kitt Green site by making data-driven, pragmatic, and timely decisions. You'll always champion continuous improvement, maintaining the highest standards that protect the Kraft-Heinz brand while supporting the site.

  • Risk Assessment & Leadership: Address quality and technical issues throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products.
  • Quality Standards & Continuous Improvement: Drive the achievement of quality standards through regular review and enhancement of the Quality System at our Kitt Green site.
  • Quality Control Framework: Develop and maintain frameworks to accurately identify and control the quality status of finished goods.
  • Finished Product Assessment: Lead on the assessment and release of all finished products, ensuring compliance before customer distribution or appropriate downgrading.
  • Quality critical metrics: Use key performance indicators to reduce incidents and risks, driving continuous improvement.
  • Compliance Maintenance: Ensure compliance with internal and external food manufacturing standards, maintaining necessary accreditations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead FSQ team members to achieve objectives.

  • Degree in a science-related field or significant experience in the food safety sector.
  • Proactive & dedicated approach with a drive for making impactful improvements.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to challenge and improve processes.
  • Analytical problem solver with a talent for problem-solving and adapting quickly to change.
  • Confident decision-maker, grounded in data and evidence.
