Places where life happens. Where businesses grow. And where cities are defined.

LOCATION

This role is based at London, Victoria and offers hybrid working (Minimum 3 days in the office).

THE TEAM

You will join the Project Evolve team within Group Finance, working closely with colleagues across D&T, Finance Operations, Financial Reporting and Commercial Finance. The team sits at the heart of the organisation and plays a key role in supporting Landsec’s systems and reporting needs.

The team culture is collaborative, supportive, and focused on continuous improvement. You will work alongside experienced finance professionals who value clear communication, teamwork, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset that embraces accountability and delivers positive change.

THE ROLE

This is a key Business Process Analyst role within Project Evolve, Landsec’s joint Finance and D&T programme to establish trusted data, governance, reporting and process foundations for the business.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Business Process Analyst will work closely with the Finance Technical Lead, Project Manager, D&T and stakeholders across Finance, Portfolio & Asset Management, Investment, Strategy and the wider business.

The role will support the business to identify, prioritise, change and manage improvements in business processes across both core finance processes, including General Ledger activity, and operational processes linked to the Tenancy Schedule.

Acting as the practical bridge between the project team and the business, the role will help ensure improved processes are well understood, appropriately prioritised, aligned to the new data governance policy and supporting frameworks, and embedded with the teams who own and use them.

What makes this role unique?

  • You will play a central role in one of Landsec’s key transformation priorities, helping the business move from inconsistent, manual or locally managed processes to clearer, more controlled and more efficient ways of working.
  • You will work across both core finance processes, including General Ledger activity, and operational processes linked to the Tenancy Schedule, helping teams prioritise and implement sustainable improvements.
  • You will help embed the new data governance policy and supporting frameworks by making expectations clear, practical and aligned to day-to-day business processes.
  • You will be responsible for personally documenting and maintaining current and future-state process maps in Lucidchart, ensuring process knowledge, ownership and controls are clearly captured and maintained.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the Finance Technical Lead and Project Manager to deliver Project Evolve outcomes, leading business process analysis, improvement planning and change support across General Ledger, wider finance and Tenancy Schedule processes.
  • Work with Finance, Portfolio, D&T and wider business teams to identify, document and prioritise process failures, pain points and improvement opportunities, including root causes, data hand-offs, controls, ownership and dependencies, personally creating and maintaining clear process maps in Lucidchart.
  • Establish and maintain clear end-to-end process ownership, governance forums and escalation routes, working with Function Leads to define decision rights, accountabilities and review cycles that support effective control, governance and continuous process improvement.
  • Translate business needs into clear process requirements, improvement actions, implementation plans and adoption activities that are practical for finance and non-finance users.
  • Support the design, testing and implementation of improved processes and controls, ensuring changes align with reporting requirements, the new data governance policy and supporting frameworks.
  • Own, with Function Leads, the decommissioning of legacy manual processes and reports as new ways of working get established, ensuring superseded workflows are formally retired rather than run in parallel.
  • Track and report benefits realisation for migrated processes - including manual hours released per reporting cycle - providing the evidence base for SteerCo and CFO reporting.
  • Ensure process changes strengthen control effectiveness, promoting preventative controls and reducing reliance on detective controls and manual compensating activities.
  • Identify automation and AI-enablement opportunities arising from improved processes and data quality, supporting the company's AI-readiness objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and process reviews, maintaining clear process maps in Lucidchart, documentation, decision records and delivery updates to support project governance and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Engage confidently with finance, non-finance and senior stakeholders to explain issues, options, risks and recommendations, and support adoption of improved ways of working across the business.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Strong business process analysis experience, including hands-on process mapping and documentation in Lucidchart or similar process modelling tools, mapping current processes, identifying failures, understanding root causes and defining practical improvements.
  • Experience supporting transformation, business change or process improvement activity in a complex organisation.
  • Good understanding of finance and operational processes, including General Ledger activity, controls, data hand-offs and the impact of process quality on reporting, governance and decision-making.
  • Awareness of data governance principles and the ability to support adherence to policies, standards, ownership models and control frameworks in day-to-day processes.
  • Experience defining process ownership, governance forums, escalation routes and accountability frameworks across complex organisations.
  • Strong facilitation, documentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently with finance, non-finance and senior colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritise improvement opportunities based on business impact, risk, effort, dependencies and deliverability.
  • Experience with D365, OneStream or other enterprise systems that support finance, reporting or operational processes.
  • Analytical, collaborative and improvement-focused, with clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex process issues in simple, practical terms.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Experience working with General Ledger, financial control, property, leasing, portfolio, asset management or tenancy schedule processes.
  • Experience contributing to data governance, policy adherence, reporting automation or wider process standardisation initiatives.

This is a 9 months FTC.
