Build next-gen data pipelines that power tomorrow’s financial services
The Role
As an Azure Data Engineer (Databricks) at Capco, you'll design and implement robust data solutions leveraging Databricks and the Azure ecosystem. You'll work on high-impact digital transformation projects for Tier 1 financial institutions, building scalable, secure, and event-driven pipelines that support analytics and business intelligence. You’ll contribute to data lakehouse design and architecture, and help modernise client data estates across cloud and hybrid environments.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines using Databricks, DeltaLake, and Spark Structured Streaming
Apply modern software engineering practices to build production-grade data solutions
Develop streaming architectures with Kafka, Event Hubs, and Azure native services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape data models and warehouse solutions
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards including GDPR and PII handling
What We’re Looking For
Hands-on expertise with Databricks platform, including Unity Catalog and orchestration
Strong experience with PySpark, Python libraries, and distributed data processing
Deep knowledge of SQL and understanding of ELT/ETL, schema design, and data lakehouse principles
Proven ability to develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
Background in building end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to serving
Bonus Points For
Development experience in Scala or Java
Understanding of cloud data architectures and data warehousing tools
Familiarity with data security protocols and privacy compliance
Exposure to Cloudera, HDFS, HIVE, and other Big Data platforms
Willingness to learn and adopt emerging data technologies
