We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer to join our growing Quality Assurance team. You will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer passionate about building robust automation and keenly attuned to detail. While your primary focus will be on automation, you will perform limited manual testing to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Your Impact
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using the Playwright framework.
- Create and execute automated API tests using tools like Postman and integrate them into our test cycles with Newman.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and integrate testing throughout the development lifecycle, supporting our "shift-left" quality strategy.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution.
- Participate in peer reviews of test scripts to maintain code quality and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our automation frameworks and QA processes.
- Perform targeted manual testing as needed to validate new features and complex use cases.
Your Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance or test automation role.
- Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, with a strong preference for Playwright.
- Demonstrated experience in API testing using Postman and command-line runners like Newman.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Solid understanding of a programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Exposure to performance and/or security testing concepts
