Focus Group is seeking an analytical and driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team on a 14-month fixed-term contract at our Shoreham office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across group reporting, management accounts, and ERP implementation while working with a supportive and dynamic team.
What You'll Be DoingCore Responsibilities- Own key processes in the production of Group management accounts, including critical reconciliations and reporting maintenance
- Lead the preparation of Focus South management accounts, working closely with the Focus South Finance Manager
- Analyze financial performance - dive into margins, overheads, and variances to budget and forecast, providing clear insights and commentary
- Support group consolidation at month-end, ensuring accuracy across acquisitions and balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to transformation by supporting the development and processes of our new D365 ERP system
- Deliver ad-hoc management reporting, meeting minutes, and transaction analysis

✓ Holds or studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
This role offers genuine variety and responsibility. You'll work directly with the Finance Manager, Management Accountants, and Head of Financial Reporting, gaining exposure to both monthly management accounting cycles and strategic projects. With involvement in our D365 implementation, you'll develop valuable ERP experience alongside core technical accounting skills.
