Job DescriptionHere at Staubli UK we have an opportunity for an apprenticeship within our Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant – this role will be key in offering support across the organisation by assisting in the preparation, processing, and review of financial transactions, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with company policies, and regulatory requirements.
As an apprentice within our Finance team your main responsibilities will be:
Supporting the Company Accountant in weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks:
- Assist in the creation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reports.
- Support weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual Group reporting.
- Preparation of statutory accounts and providing information and reconciliations required for external audits.
- Preparation and posting of Journals.
- Managing all Capex related expenditure ensuring compliance with Company policy.
- Processing of expenses and credit cards
Purchase Ledger
- Processing of purchase orders, invoices and credit notes.
- Preparation of payment runs on a monthly basis including intercompany reconciliations.
- Main point of contact for supplier financial queries.
Providing cover for team members during periods of absence.
Qualifications- Candidates must have AAT – Level 2 as a minimum requirement.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience of using SAP would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential
- Assistance in completing your Apprenticeship and/or pursuing additional training and qualifications to facilitate the development of the role during the apprenticeship period.
- Hybrid working – 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.
- 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday - with a 12:30pm finish on a Friday.
