ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for an AI engineer in Europe.
ABOUT PROJECT
The company is a parcel delivery service in the UK. We have been working with this client for several years and have established strong cooperation.
The client is currently heavily involved in AI and has a specific development plan and goals that it aims to achieve.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of working experience as a Python Engineer
- Backend Development Expertise: Proficiency in Python with experience in FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy or similar ORM for building reliable backend services
- Data Manipulation and Analysis: Understanding of NumPy and Pandas for data processing and manipulation tasks
- AI and Machine Learning Knowledge: Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), smart agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts. Experience with tools like LlamaIndex or LangChain is a plus
- Knowledge Graphs and Vector Databases: Understanding of knowledge graphs, vector databases, and basic semantic search techniques
- Prompting and Testing: Familiarity with prompt engineering, test representation, and basic similarity metrics
- At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English
- Experience with ETL processes, OCR technologies, and SQL (including OLAP)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable software in line with technical requirements, focusing on performance and availability
- Analyze requirements, review designs, and estimate user stories following project methodology (Agile, Waterfall, etc).
- Proactively propose code refactoring and optimization improvements according to the best software development practices and coding standards
- Help maintain and improve high-quality standards within the developer community by sharing knowledge, conducting tech talks, and participating in the internal promotion verification process
- Stay up-to-date with modern technology and obtain professional certifications
- Support less experienced developers by providing training, distributing, and monitoring tasks
