 LabCentral is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role focuses on managing and streamlining accounts payable processes while delivering exceptional customer service. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this position. You’ll be a strong fit if you have 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar roles and are eager to learn and grow. Whether you’ve juggled numbers or managed admin tasks like a pro—we want to hear from you!

 What Will I do?   

Responsibilities: 

  • Process large volumes of invoices using our automated procurement system 
  • Review and respond to incoming email inquiries daily 
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Team on Accounts Payable issues 
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and keep all parties informed of solutions 
  • Liase between the books and our teams, ensuring prompt feedback and action 
  • Educate staff and implement administrative policies and procedures 
  • Set up vendor accounts and provide credit references for our alumni companies 
  • Contribute to the organization’s ability to scale its current business model by automating processes to become more efficient 
  • Other duties as needed to help support the team 

 What do I bring?  

Desired qualifications:    

  • 1-2 years' experience in an accounts payable, administrative or similar role 
  • Experience providing customer service over email and phone 
  • Experience with NetSuite & MineralTree is a plus 
  • Ability to work onsite at our location in Cambridge, MA 
  • Strong time management, organization, and decision-making skills 
  • Find satisfaction in creating order and crossing tasks off a list 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to forge strong professional relationships with vendors to expedite resolutions 
  • Thrive as a part of a team while being capable of and enjoy working independently  

What your first six months will look like:  

  • Learn our systems and provide feedback about how to do things better  
  • Complete needed training on record keeping and invoicing 
  • Cross-train with our Procurement, IT, Lab, Operations, and Facilities departments on the answers to top resident questions 
  • Continue to build your skills and set goals for personal and professional growth 

Work environment :   

  • Fully onsite during regular business hours  
  • Ability to sit for long periods, ability to move around an office environment, and ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand   
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds

Compensation  

Our compensation philosophy is intentional and researched to align with average market salaries; comprehensive, generous benefits to support overall well-being; and parity with our existing and future team members. Below details the value of what our compensation package may look like, but specific details pertaining to an individual will vary.   

Salary range: $52-56k along with the potential to earn a bonus of 6% based on company performance.   

Approximate monetary value of benefits (based off an individual – dependents increase value): $22,000.
