Financial Accountant – Reporting into Finance Manager
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables (e.g. journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting)
- Understand and prepare accounting entries for various financial activities, which may include Cash Management, Accounts payable, Prepaids, Other Receivables, Accrued Liabilities, Revenue and Fixed Assets
- Involved in the Accounts receivable process including activities involving collections and responding to customer enquiries.
- Support the annual audit inquiries, requests and activities originating from external auditors
- Other ad hoc processing, reporting, researching as needed
Experience / Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of accounting (Technology experience is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must
- Excellent organizational and verbal / written communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, team player and able to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Strong aptitude to identify opportunities to leverage technology to drive process efficiency
- Previous experience with VAT returns/ UK accounts
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Experience / Skills Desired
- ERP System experience (NetSuite a plus)
- Quick learner, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Payroll experience
- ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualifications)
