Travel Counsellors, a Manchester-based travel company, announced its acquisition of The Travel Agent Next Door, known as TTAND, a Canadian travel agency. The deal marks Travel Counsellors’ third acquisition over the past three years and expands its operations into seven international markets.
Travel Counsellors supports more than 2,200 independent travel entrepreneurs and recently launched TC Co-Pilot, its proprietary data-driven AI agent designed to enhance productivity for the individuals in its network. TTAND has a network of more than 1,700 travel professionals, which will eventually migrate to Travel Counsellors’ technology platform as part of the acquisition.
The combined companies will benefit from a scaled network of 3,900 travel business owners, a more diversified international profile with brands across Canada and the U.K. and knowledge sharing across organizations. Flemming Friisdahl will continue in the role of CEO for TTAND upon the deal’s close.
