This Position reports to:

Technical Support Team Leader


 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide technical assistance to internal and external customers and ensure timely and cost-effective support in accordance with guidelines. Each day, you will contribute to customer satisfaction by executing support work according to customer expectations. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide telephone technical support to customers, ABB Staff and partners on the ABB range of current and classic drive products.

  • Review, assess and maintain an active data record of all calls supporting the role.

  • Occasional on-site support to provide technical assistance and maintenance support may be required as well as some infrequent travel in the UK and abroad.

  • Comply with ABB internal Integrity and ethics programs and complete online training when issued.

  • Provide internal support in collaborating within the motion business.

  • Provide a flexible approach to expand the technical role to include Project support, site support and training support in a limited capacity. 

Qualifications for the Role
  • Working knowledge of modern variable speed drive systems.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Good IT skills and experience.

  • Qualifications in electrical engineering or related discipline preferred.
