What’s the role about?

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Menswear Product Developer to support the end-to-end development of our Shirts category. In this role, you’ll manage the full product lifecycle from design concept through to final samples, ensuring each stage of the critical path is delivered on time and to Reiss’s exacting standards. Working closely with Design, Merchandising, Fabric, Technical, and our global supply base, you will play a key role in delivering elevated, modern shirting that embodies the Reiss brand DNA. This role reports into the Senior Product Developer and is based at our Picton Place Head Office, offering the opportunity to work within a dynamic, design-led environment.

Who you are

  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently with confidence.
  • Experience in buying or product development is beneficial, though not essential.
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Highly organised with a solid understanding of the product development critical path.
  • Able to prioritise workload effectively and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledgeable in supply base coordination, sample development, and cost management.
  • Experienced within a retail head office environment, ideally in fashion or product-focused roles.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with the Senior Product Developer on factory planning and the seasonal development flow for Shirts.
  • Managing and organising all prototype and sampling requirements across the category.
  • Ensuring supplier costings and fabric ratings are received, reviewed, and negotiated as needed.
  • Confirming production ex-factory dates with suppliers and tracking progress throughout the season.
  • Inputting and updating costs on buy sheets in preparation for sign-off.
  • Negotiating factory cost prices to support margin targets while protecting design integrity.
  • Reviewing and updating the critical path daily, ensuring milestones are met across all Shirt styles.
  • Collaborating with Design and mills on lab dip submissions, strike-off approvals, and fabric development timelines
  • Liaising with fabric and trim teams to confirm ex-mill and availability dates aligned to development needs.
  • Attending fit sessions to highlight issues and relay clear feedback to suppliers.
  • Partnering with Merchandising and Design teams to ensure alignment across all stages of Shirt development and production.

What we’ll do for you

  • Competitive salary and company bonus.
  • Up to 65% employee discount.
  • Access to exclusive sample sales.
  • Aviva DigiCare+ wellbeing services.
  • Medicash health support plan.
  • Workplace pension contributions.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies.
  • Electric Vehicle scheme via Octopus Energy.
  • Cycle to Work programme.
  • Season ticket travel loan.
  • Plus further workplace benefits.
