Marketing & Events Manager Printworks Manchester

Manchester’s favourite entertainment destination has recently undergone a multi-million-pound transformation. Already larger-than-life, Printworks is home to Vue Cinemas with one of Europe’s largest IMAX screens, Hard Rock Café and many of your favourite restaurants, bars, clubs, health club and entertainment destinations. Plus, it is now home to the largest digital ceiling in Europe. This show-stopping spectacular 1000m2 ceiling screen covers the entire Printworks internal streets showing extraordinary, creative content and special effects from day to night. Seeing will truly be believing! In addition, visitors to Printworks will be able to interact with the screens and compete with other guests on the giant interactive e-gaming screen.

As we enter a new chapter of the Printworks story, we are seeking an exceptional marketing professional to help us deliver the new Printworks to new audiences whilst expanding our loyal and established customer based. You’ll have a fully integrated marketing background and use your knowledge to elevate customer experience whilst leveraging an industry-leading supply chain to deliver our vision. First-class relationship management and communication skills will be a must as you will be working closely with our brands, site and head office teams as well as various external local stakeholders and the wider Manchester community.

The ideal candidate will be well-connected within Manchester and able to raise the profile of one of the city’s most exciting destinations through an effective marketing strategy. You’ll be commercially aware, results driven and possess the ambition to deliver an exceptional end product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver an annual marketing strategy to drive awareness, footfall, and revenue.

  • Plan and execute high-impact events and experiential campaigns that enhance the customer experience.

  • Lead digital marketing activity, including content creation for social media, website, and the venue’s digital and gaming screens.

  • Manage PR, creative, and media agencies, ensuring brand alignment and strong return on investment.

  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring all communications reflect Printworks’ identity and values.

  • Build strong partnerships with tenants, local stakeholders, and community groups to promote collaboration and engagement.

  • Analyse and report on campaign performance, sharing insights and recommendations.

  • Manage and mentor the onsite Marketing Executive, supporting their development and performance.

  • Support the wider centre management team, contributing to customer experience and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years’ marketing management experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment (leisure, retail, or hospitality preferred).

  • Strong creative thinker with excellent project management and organisational skills.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels and present ideas effectively.

  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and multiple stakeholders.

  • Technologically confident with content management and digital tools.

  • Analytical and commercially minded, with a focus on results.

  • Strong local knowledge of Manchester and its entertainment and cultural scene.

  • Marketing degree or recognised professional qualification.

  • Basic skills in graphic design, photography, or videography.

  • Event management or IOSH safety qualification.
