Today, we’re continuing that legacy by strengthening the technology that powers our people and our business. We’re looking for an IT Manager Onsite Support based in Middleton, Wisconsin, to guide our onsite support operations across U.S. locations—ensuring our teams have the tools, systems, and support they need to thrive.

About the Role 

As the IT Manager Onsite Support, you’ll work in a full-time onsite role, leading a talented team of onsite support technicians across our U.S. footprint. You will ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and services, deliver exceptional end-user support in both US and Canada, and create strong alignment with global IT delivery models. 

You will act as a key connector between local business stakeholders, global IT teams, and our strategic partner HCL Tech—driving operational excellence, consistency, and innovation across the IT support landscape. 

Key Responsibilities 

Team Leadership & People Growth 

  • Lead, coach, and mentor onsite support technicians to foster performance, engagement, and professional development. 
  • Promote a collaborative, high-trust team culture aligned with Fiskars Group values. 

Stakeholder Partnership 

  • Build strong relationships across the business, ensuring IT support aligns with operational needs and strategic goals. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for local leaders regarding onsite IT priorities. 

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement 

  • Implement standardized IT processes in collaboration with global IT and HCL SIAM. 
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across support practices. 
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, resource allocation, and timely incident resolution. 
  • Drive global IT delivery model to support employees efficiently and effectively 

Vendor & Financial Oversight 

  • Manage U.S. onsite support vendor relationships and contracts in partnership with sourcing. 
  • Ensure SLAs and performance targets are met or exceeded. 
  • Handle all U.S. IT Infrastructure invoicing in partnership with Finance. 

Technical Expertise & Escalation Support 

  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues, providing hands-on technical support. 
  • Monitor IT performance metrics and identify opportunities for efficiency gains. 
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend service enhancements. 

Project Leadership 

  • Lead onsite IT projects including expansions, relocations, and technology refresh cycles. 
  • Ensure projects meet scope, timelines, and global standards. 

KPIs & Outcomes 

  • Safe, stable, and high-quality IT operations 
  • Reliable operational monitoring and reporting 
  • Strong vendor performance and SLA compliance 
  • Cybersecurity awareness and adherence 
  • OPEX forecasting accuracy 
  • High team engagement and development 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft certifications preferred) 
  • 5+ years of IT support experience, including 2+ years in leadership 
  • Broad technical expertise across hardware, software, networking, and telecom 
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and driving service performance 
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels 
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and service management frameworks 
  • Proven project management ability 
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills 
  • Adaptable, resilient leader who fosters a positive team environment 
  • Experience in a global or multicultural environment is a plus
