Job Title: Packaging Designer (12-Month Contract)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Design Packaging Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. We are looking for someone with a passion for creativity and a keen eye
for design.

This key role will focus on creating innovative and eye-catching packaging solutions that reflect the company’s goals, objectives, and identity.
 

This person must be able to work across multiple projects across a range of brands. Working as part of the Marketing team, the person will be expected to produce project deliverables to an exceptionally high standard with guidance from our senior designers and marketing reps.
You will be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic, team-oriented work ethic with the flexibility and willingness to take on any task. You should display a forward-thinking, positive outlook and offer strategic creative solutions to a high finished standard. You need to have exceptional multi-tasking skills, high attention to detail, and ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop packaging solutions that align with brand standards and sustainability goals.
Work closely with internal marketing teams to support key product brands with regular and ad-hoc packaging designs.
Ensure all packaging meets regulatory and safety standards.
Conduct market research to stay updated on the latest packaging trends and technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve any packaging-related issues.
Applying excellent digital/graphic design skills across advertising campaigns, websites, web applications and documentation
Taking ownership of work, with the ability to work across various projects simultaneously,while always maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Involved in all aspects of projects, from initial concepts, to the successful completion
Liaising with suppliers and printers to ensure a high-quality finished product for printed materials
Producing digital storyboards, visuals and layouts to help communicate ideas
Producing and communicating a consistent stream of fresh ideas
Applying high levels of information technology skills in relevant design packages and
hardware, including; Adobe Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Adobe XD)
MS Office (including PowerPoint), Macs and OSX

Proven experience in product packaging design and development.
Strong understanding of packaging materials, processes, and sustainability practices.
Good communication and organisation skills to handle a full and varied workload
In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Software particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and
InDesign:

Thorough understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, web standards and advertising standards and their application
Acute observation and an expert eye for detail
Resilience to rejection and constructive criticism of creative work
Hands-on and 'can-do' attitude and be willing to get stuck in
