In your role as Data Engineer (m/f/d), you play a key role in building and enhancing the Data Platform of Flink. You will find yourself in a modern Data Engineering environment, working in the central Data Engineering team, using state of the art technologies hosted on Google Cloud platform

You can expect to work on business-critical projects in close collaboration with various Flink stakeholders as well as with our Data Scientists. Get ready to be immersed in the fast-paced environment of quick commerce where data is a first-class citizen.

Job Description

  • Work closely with other Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Operations professionals to build up our internal data products which contribute to the efficiency of the business
  • Contribute to the evolution and decentralization of our Data Platform using state-of-the-art technologies
  • Assist with the design and implementation of a robust data quality and observability framework over our data products
  • Develop and evolve our backend services which consume, transform and process data from different internal/external systems
  • Build and evolve frameworks to enable non-technical stakeholders to view the status and manually trigger pipeline jobs

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Data Engineering or data-centric Software Engineering role
  • Strong Python skills, especially in the context of building data pipelines and interacting with REST APIs, (non)relational databases etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating data workloads
  • Hands-on experience with (Google) Cloud Platform data solutions and services
  • Basic experience and understanding of of CI/CD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure As a Code & dbt are a plus
  • Passionate problem solver, ability to think independently and proactively to find solutions
  • Very good communication skills in English (spoken & written)
