The Opportunity:
Lead the turnaround and growth of our account management function. You’ll own the P&L across our PaySuite portfolio, drive strategic cross-sell into Access’s 100,000+ customer base, and build a high-performing team during a pivotal growth phase.

About you:

You’re a tenured leader in B2B payments/fintech account management and sales, with deep expertise across Direct Debits, card payments, Open Banking, Bacs, KYC, and compliance. You’ve successfully stabilised at-risk portfolios, driven commercial growth, and led teams through organisational change while maintaining high performance. You’re commercially driven, customer-obsessed, and thrive in fast-paced environments where decisive leadership and sustainable transformation are key.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Own the P&L across account management functions including upsell, cross-sell, renewals, bureau, card, and consultancy

  • Lead and coach a team of Account Managers, scaling strategically as needed

  • Drive recovery of at-risk accounts while identifying and executing growth opportunities

  • Champion cross-sell initiatives across Access’s wider customer base

  • Implement structured QBRs and data-driven account plans

  • Ensure Salesforce excellence: forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and modern sales methodology (MEDDIC, Challenger)

  • Address underperformance decisively while nurturing top talent

  • Resolve strategic customer escalations and collaborate cross-functionally to fix systemic issues

Your Skills and Experiences Might Also Include:

  • Tenured leadership in B2B payments or fintech account management and sales

  • Deep understanding of UK payments (Direct Debits, card payments, Open Banking, Bacs, KYC, compliance)

  • Proven ability to stabilise at-risk portfolios and drive commercial growth

  • Experience leading teams through organisational change while maintaining performance

  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic influence

  • Skilled in navigating complex stakeholder environments and breaking down silos

  • Familiarity with performance management frameworks and coaching techniques

  • Comfort operating in high-growth, fast-changing environments

  • Passion for customer success and delivering measurable impact
